Katrina Mission – April 2008: Second Notice

First Church and Trinity Presbyterian Church are again planning a mission trip to Gulfport, Mississippi, to assist with Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts. The tentative dates are April 20–26, 2008. Participants in last year’s trip overwhelmingly agreed that it was a fulfilling experience and lots of fun. All are welcome; no particular training is required, although those experienced in building and remodeling are really appreciated. The main requirement is a willingness to work.

If you think that this mission is something that you would be interested in joining, or for more information, please contact Joe or Ruth Galey, 433-9439 (First Church), or Paula Bramble, 385-9634 (Trinity).

First Presbyterian Church is a "permission giving" Church. This concept is fairly new to us and coupled with the notion of Ministry Teams provides a powerful synergy for accomplishing the mission of the church.
