Ark Club
[Fellowship Groups Index]

The club came into existence in 1952 as a group of those who enjoyed each others company, but it did not directly associate with the Admiralty Fleet idea fostered at that time. With many small children the ARK went in big for overnight camp outs in its early days and still today fosters youth groups and children’s choirs. As their children grew up and left home the ARK Club members aged gently into a support group for each other and a place to admire all the grandchildren.

We meet monthly at a member’s home for potluck supper and programs about current activities and issues in our church as well as in our community. Our projects this year have included the purchase of four chairs and an end table for the Garden Room. We purchased twelve leather bound copies of The Book of Common Worship and Daily Prayer for the young people graduating from high school and college. We undertook to provide coffee and other refreshments for the coffee hour after the eleven o’clock service one Sunday a month.
