December: We held a Christmas High Tea with a drama and musical program for all church members' spiritual enjoyment.

January & April: We provided homemade (from scratch) Wednesday Night Suppers. Since women donated the dishes, we gave the supper proceeds to the Homeless (Friendship) Dinner Fund.

May: We gave scholarships for women to attend the semi-annual retreat. We held, as a service to the Church, a Mother/Child Luncheon, with catered meal & entertainment.

June 1997: We donated $200 to the Ricky Foss Fund.

We took total responsibility of the afternoon meeting and coffee for Maake and Pauline Masango from Africa when they met with us and Presbytery visitors. This included tables & decorations, soliciting refreshments, serving, hosting & clean-up. Our decor was also used for the evening event. All materials & food were donated by our individuals. There was no expense to P.W. or the Church. Leftover delicacies went to our Church's homeless (Friendship) dinner.

We have worked at the Community House once a month for the past two years. We collect toiletries & personal items for several agencies. We maintain a room at the YWCA Women's Crisis Center. Some of us donate food and also work at the homeless (Friendship) dinner. We co-chaired the Crop Walk for our Church. We have ushered & helped with funerals. We support the new Tues. a.m. Bible Study Group, finding them sources for study. Other groups include: A.M. Breakfast, Come As you Are (social action discussion), Stitchery, and a Saturday morning Spiritual Growth. Occasionally we have an "Out to Lunch" gathering, mainly around a holiday with gift exchange. All women are warmly welcome and urged to join in any activity. They are listed in the First Press.
