The Board of Deacons for First Presbyterian Church consists of twenty-three members. Twenty-one of them alternate serving three-year terms. The two remaining members are designated as youth members – they are to be no more than twenty-five years old and serve a one year term.

Elders and Deacons? Deacons are elected to care for the congregation.The Presyberterian church structure is a representative democracy governed by elders.
